Lunches are provided through St. Charles Borromeo School's hot lunch program. Lunches are served with a choice of 1% white milk, chocolate skim milk, or white skim milk and meet all USDA nutrition standards. The lunch menu is published monthly and parents are asked to post it at home. Lunches do not need to be ordered in advance. However, in the classroom each morning, students will be asked who is purchasing a hot lunch and if an extra entrée is desired. This daily count will allow the cafeteria staff to prepare an adequate number of meals.
Costs are: Meal - $2.80 Extra Entree - $1.50 Milk - $.45
MyPaymentsPlus provides convenience and information to manage school meal accounts. At no additional cost, families may use the unique code that has been provided for each student to check on your student’s lunch account balance.
Parents have two options for applying for money in a student account.
First, for a small program fee, MyPaymentsPlus also allows any family to make a prepayment into your student’s meal account using a check, credit card, or debit card at https://www.mypaymentsplus.com/welcome or by calling 1-877-237-0946. This feature eliminates the need to send a check to school or worry about lost or forgotten lunch money.
Or second, if you prefer, you may send cash or check payment to school, at no additional charge, with the Lunch Accounting Form located at the end of the weekly newsletter. You may send payment for a month or more of lunches.
In compliance with federal regulations, St Charles Borromeo School offers a Free and Reduced Price Lunch Program for those students who qualify. Parents may complete an application at any time during the school year, though it is recommended that this be done in August prior to the school year beginning. Students whose accounts have a negative balance will not be permitted to order an extra entree. A lunch will still be served the student and a reminder notice will be sent home to the parent via the student that there is a negative balance in the student's lunch account. All negative accounts need to be paid in full by the end of the school year before student grades/records are released.
Students who are eligible for a Free or Reduced Price lunch are not eligible to order an extra entree unless they pay for this.
