Dear Parents and Students - This week, on Ash Wednesday, Lent begins. To help jumpstart our journey, I would like to forward to everyone from Fr. Tom’s notes from this weekend’s bulletin: “We begin Lent this week. Ash Wednesday is a day of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. We are asked to give up meat on Ash Wednesday as well as all of the Fridays of Lent. Our Ash Wednesday Masses will be held at 6:15am, 8:15am, 12:30pm, & 6:30pm. As a reminder, our church is open for prayer from early morning until late evening, and we will return to our Lenten practice of exposing the Blessed Sacrament in the chapel during morning confessions, Monday through Saturday from 7:30am-8:00am. We also encourage regular visits to our two nearby perpetual adoration chapels. Both St. Jude & St. Vincent have chapels with the Blessed Sacrament exposed day and night for quiet prayer.
Also, a reminder: during Lent we have Stations of the Cross and Benediction every Friday evening at 7:00pm. Come for the 6:30pm Mass or come at 7:00pm for Stations. Another opportunity to spend time with the Lord during Lent.” - Fr. Tom
We’ve updated the St. Charles Text Number. It is now 260-200-3919. This will replace the 260-255-5325 we started using when we were having trouble with the phones a few years ago. The school number is still 260-484-3392, please still call this number to speak with a school representative and for attendance. We will use the 260-200-3919 to text as needed. Alerts such as delays and dress down days will still come from SchoolMessenger, 67587.
Congratulations to our 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team! League Champs & CYO Tourney Champions! In control from the start, our 8th grade boys defeated the Commodores of St. Joe Decatur for a third time Wednesday evening to sweep the league & tourney Championships. Led by Coaches Sordelet & Lochbihler, our Cardinal men completed a great season using a balanced approach, unselfish passing, tough defense, and accurate shooting to run away from the Commodores. Thanks to all of our players, coaches, parents, cheerleaders, cheering students, and all who turned out to support our young men!
RE-ENROLLMENT for next year 2023-2024 for all students currently in grades K-7
Snap Code emails from “registration@stcharlesschoolfw.org” were sent out Thursday, January 19 to the email we currently have on file for you in PowerSchool. Please check your inbox or search your spam for it. Read through that email and use the link included in it to re-enroll your student. You will receive an email with a re-enrollment code (called a snap code) for each child you have at St. Charles. You must use each child’s unique snap code to re-enroll them for next year. Complete by Friday, February 3, 2023. Some simple reminders when it comes to completing online registration:
1. Log into your PowerSchool Enrollment account using the link that is in the Snapcode email.
2. Work your way through the online form. Have your contact phone numbers and addresses handy! You will list any emergency contacts here. We do ask for 2-3 emergency contacts in case we can not reach you.
3. On the Emergency Contact Page, we recommend you begin by clicking on the “remove contact” button and start clean. When information was pulled from what was in PowerSchool, it populated incorrectly. This will eliminate some confusion for you when it comes to filling in the fields.
4. Carefully, read the agreement at the end before giving your electronic signature.
5. Be sure to click on the “Submit” button when done.
6. You will receive an email from PowerSchool verifying that the enrollment was submitted. FACTS payment plans from last year have been rolled over. There is nothing you need to do for FACTS at this time.
7. If you have an additional St. Charles student re-enrolling, you will be given the opportunity at the end of the first re-enrollment form to add your additional student’s snapcode. (Sent in a separate email to you.)
This online process should take 15-20 minutes to complete. Your information will be saved if you need to quit and come back later.

HASA Father Daughter Dance is Friday, March 10th!! Pre-registration is due Monday, March 6th. Make sure to pre-register so your daughter(s) receive a flower at the end of the night. Walk-ins will be accepted. We have some great raffle baskets for dads and daughters this year, you can watch the Facebook page for sneak peeks. Raffle tickets will be available that night for purchase also. Registration form is attached at the back of the newsletter and will be sent home. Questions contact HASA@stcharlesschoolfw.org
