Dear Parents and Students - The year is ending too quickly! This is an exciting time for students as they near a summer break and a bit of a crunch time for teachers and administrators trying to wrap up all the moving parts before everyone is gone. Please keep our school community in your prayers as we end this school year, especially our graduates and those who may be moving away from us.  Thank you for working hard to be positive role models for your children and for supporting our school.  Have a nice week! - Rob S.

St. Charles Summer Math & Reading Review -Keep brains active! Gain ground academically! Overall, this has been a positive year, and we thank our Students and Teachers for their good work! Despite strong effort, however, this year's COVID surges and the resultant absences and related stress have impacted overall student achievement in varying degrees. Knowing this, we feel that continuing with some academic summer activities will be beneficial for all students involved. With student success in mind, we will again be offering summer learning opportunities for our students - optional, but encouraged.
Grades PK & K will be sending home paper packets of review materials that parents can help work through with their children. Students in grades 1-7 will have access to online activities that are a continuation of our St. Charles Math & Reading curriculums. Teachers will be sending home usernames and passwords for individual students and also emailing a master sheet to all parents grades 1-7 for ease of login and use.  Pacing guides will be provided for students suggested weekly activities with all access and activities ceasing by July 15th. You will be able to find a link on the school website (http://www.stcharlesschoolfw.org/) for each grade level’s Summer Learning starting June 3.

Congratulations 8th Grade Graduating Class of 2022!! Let your light SHINE before others! As I mentioned in the writings above, time flies too fast. We have a unique and beautiful group of 8th grade students, who have worked through two years of worldwide mayhem and are still standing strong, ready to move on to high school.  I look forward to great good from these young men and women in the years to come. Before they disperse to various high schools, I wanted to simply say Vaya Con Dios my Friends - Go with God! Spread goodness wherever you go, and stay close to God and family.  I leave you with Matthew 5:16 as we join our wishes of peace and goodness for you with those of Christ. St. Charles Borromeo School Class of 2022 be safe, be well, do good works! With Sincerest Love - Rob S.

Father Jacob Meyer to serve as United States Military Chaplain!
“Commissioned as a lieutenant in the Navy Chaplain Corps on March 1, 2022, Father Jacob Meyer will soon be leaving St. Monica Parish in Mishawaka and begin ministering to servicemen and women in the Navy, Marines and Coast Guard for at least the next five years.” We are very proud of Fr. Jacob, as he was with us for five years before being assigned to St. Monica.  Almost once a week we pray for all those in military service, as well as all law enforcement personnel, firefighters, and EMTs. We will now add Fr. Jacob Meyer to that prayer, calling him by name as we support him spiritually! For more on the story you can go to the article in Today’s Catholic at this link Fr. Jacob
