During the month of September, we ‘pressed on’ With Holy Words and we now move on into October when we ‘Press On’ To Be Wise. This may remind us of the Cardinal Virtue of Prudence. Prudence aims to perfect the natural power of judging correctly, or to put it simply, it aims to perfect ‘common sense’ choices. Prudence guides us in making good moral choices. The Holy Spirit’s gifts of counsel and right judgment are used with this virtue. So, this month, we focus on making good decisions using all the gifts God has given us. Let us press on to be wise in the Lord’s ways!
“Watch carefully then how you live, not as foolish persons but as wise, making the most of the opportunity because the days are evil. Therefore, do not continue in ignorance, but try to understand what is the will of the Lord.” Ephesians 5:15-17
